Long Time No See – September

Make the trip to Ganesh for this Sunday Session. GENERAL B.A. is a Cape Town-based DJ/artist that predominantly lives in the jazz and alternative music space, while recently dabbling in more experimental music such as ambient, noise, and no-wave. They are also the founder of the jungle and bass music event, MASSIVE!!, as well as The Obscene Jazz Jam. They are currently affiliated with The Obscene Parrot in organizing weekly shows that highlight local jazz and alternative acts.

Mishaq is a South African/Taiwan-based musician/sound artist and is the founder of EveryOtherEar, an organisation which explores/documents musical ties to cultures and history. He has previously been affiliated with Cape Town based sound establishments such as OnePark Listening Bar, The Other Radio/Records and is currently with A11 Agency which is a community-driven audio agency.

Mishaq will be presenting signature sounds from Ninja Tune Records, alongside Conor, who’ll be focusing on Warp Records. Expect a curated evening of tracks from these two innovative labels, responsible for bringing us many of the much-loved progressive electronic artists/producers who put alternative genres like Trip Hop, Downtempo, and IDM on our radars and for our listening pleasures.
