Coasters Continue To Thrill Us With The Release Of The Cinematic Music Video For ‘U Wanna?’
Coasters have just dropped their music video for their latest single ‘U Wanna?’. A varietal feast for the senses of vibrant, loud visuals and noir imagery which capture the sun-drenched, stylised nature of a 50s Spaghetti Western. This provides a perfect match for the Psych-Rock tale of a cowboy-draw.
The Western imagery is evident in the 2 close-ups of the Kata and Luke as they rise up atop a sand dune. We proceed to follow them across this journey through the ‘desert‘ with nothing but a suitcase and an empty jug of water, the scene feels like one of those lucid dreams where you wake and immediately rack your brain pondering what it all meant.
The dreamy imagery persists, with the almost pastel Wes Anderson visuals shifting as the video comes to an end, adopting a noir, home video feel. As usual, Coasters show that the bounds of their creativity no few limits.
The music video was filmed by Lola Dollimore, assisted by Nik Spitzerr, and edited and graded by Sebastian Staines and Chumba Staines. Check out the full masterpiece below.
