Rave for Revolution: Hubris

Attention: Comrades, Ravers, Radicals and Agitators

June’s edition of Rave for Revolution has a linked with Hubris in Rave for Revolution: Hubris, to fundraise for an occupation vulnerable to flood conditions. As the nights get colder (and clubs get steamier), informal settlements are faced with water logging, flooding and the sheer violence of these icy conditions.

Cape Town is built on a wetland, adding an extra layer of precarity to those who have made homes of informal structures. We call on you to show up in tangible support for communities subjected to the legacy of spatial apartheid and ongoing practices of exclusion and criminalisation particularly in these winter rains.

The funds raised will contribute to a community pot which will ensure they are ready for flood emergencies and have access to a petrol fuelled pump.
