Kiss Kiss Presents: Where’s Your Head At?

Kiss Kiss is back this April, with another Cape Town and Johannesburg zesty and dynamic daytime festie that has gripped our attention since their debut in November. With some of the best marketing we’ve seen recently, the team behind Kiss Kiss are here and making waves with bookings that you don’t expect but love to see.

A one-day festival, Kiss Kiss curates an experience, that as the first event evidenced, is a combination of style, world-class music, food, performance and atmosphere. Different in the right ways, the social media behind the name is tantalizingly funny while also just being catchy as hell.

Headlined by multi-award-winning UK electronic legends Basement Jaxx, with a full lineup still to be announced, we have a feeling that if this is anything like the first, it’s going to be worth getting on now.

Back in 2001, Tomb Raider had just been released, Angelina Jolie had revolutionized the character and the movie was an action romp through temples, guns and a sublime sound track. In particular, the final climatic scene, in which ‘Where is Your Head At?’ by the Basement Jaxx is played in a devastatingly cool shoot out of true TR style. Yet, in the days without fibre internet and Shazam, the only way to keep a cool song you liked from movies or tv, was to record it on VHS and listen to it back. Now they are set to play in SA and a nostalgic joy is absolutely palpable.

Between sets, expect seriously good food from some of Cape Town and Joburg’s best chefs, immersive theatre, roaming performers, stilt walkers, doves in flight, and details that reveal themselves when you’re not looking for them.

A daytime festival built on curiosity, connection, and good decisions. This is one of them.

Get your tickets now before you’re posting on IG and scrambling for them.
